Accommodation for the course is in a building in the grounds of Pendarren House called The Firs, a large fully-equipped bungalow that has been converted for use by groups of up to 16 people, in shared rooms for between 2 and 4 people. Food will be provided, with the evening meal at the local Pub, and cupboards and fridges will be equipped with necessary stores. Please inform us of any allergies, special food requirements, or health/medical issues.
If you want to do something different, there are local Bed and Breakfast facilities in the vicinity, and participants would need to make their own arrangements. It is possible to stay in Crickhowell, which is less than 2 miles away. Transport to and from the course can be arranged. If you choose this option, you will be eligible for non-residential course fees.

B and B is also available in Abergavenny (only 10-15 minutes away by car); options there are nearer £40-£50 per night.
AirBNB have a good range of rooms available, although these wouldn’t necessarily include breakfast.
The village of Gilwern is only 10 minutes away too, another possible AirBNB venue.
The Firs at Pendarren is located close to the village of Llangenny not far from the A40 between Abergavenny and Brecon. It is about 30 minutes from the M4 at Newport and 40 minutes from the M50 at Ross on Wye, and is approximately 2½ hours drive from West London and under 2 hours from Birmingham by road.The nearest railway station is Abergavenny (8 miles), approximately 2½ hours from London Paddington and connected to all major rail routes into the UK. Pick-ups and drop-offs are offered by the Course staff, so participants should time their train arrivals as follows: on Monday, between 12 & 1pm; on Saturday, between 9 & 10am. If necessary, other arrival & departure times can be accommodated.
There are airports at Bristol and Cardiff with reasonable transport links to Newport. Airport coaches also run to Newport from most of the London airports. The coach station at Newport is in the front of the train station, making transfer very easy.
